Is there any way to have the footage appear on my timeline instead of captions. This just appeared randomly. Every file is in its place.

Huh- can you explain that a little more clearly?

Essentially, I see that in my time line when I should be seeing the footage.

Please describe the entire issue clearly- pretend like we’re not sitting in front of your computer with you.

Essentially, there’s gaps in how my timeline is showing the clips. It shows the image from the footage in some parts, and in other parts it shows a caption/missing clip, or however you want to call it.
    Here’s another image:

    Hi,

There is a little toggle on the bottom right (your right side) where you can adjust the clip height etc. Pick one of the options that shows you the Video filmstrip.

I’m not in front of a machine at the moment or I would post a screen grab. You can google adjust Clip Height to see which button I’m referring to if you can’t find it.

    Best,
    Sandeep.

Ok, I see. Is it only doing this for images? Or are those image sequences that you’ve got there?

It’s doing it randomly, only for images. I tried clip height thing and it didn’t work.

Close FCP and delete your render files. Then relaunch and it will rebuild your Project thumbnails.

    That didn’t fix the problem.

Are you using Compound Clips- those look like Compound Clips…
