When I try to put a new sequence in, a “!” pops up and says, codec not found, you may be using a compression type without the corresponding hardware card. I loaded all of the footage in HD fine, I can view it in the viewer, but I have no canvas or timeline. If I try and use a timeline and canvas from another project, it let’s me place my HD footage in the timeline, but then i have to render everything before I can view it. I shouldn’t have to do this, please help.

Look at easy setup and pick the one that suits the material you’re working with. Without knowing details of what your doing and the equipment you’re using nobody can tell you exactly what settings to use.

    All the best,
