I know that I have gone wrong somewhere but I do not know where. I have P2 video (720×576) in my project that will be output as 16:9. I have had it displayed and output correctly before but for some reason, I cannot see it or output it correctly this time. In the canvas, it should fill the window but on this occasion it does not. When I produce a reference .mov file and create a DVD file in Compressor, the video file is stretched. Where have I gone wrong?

Make sure that your footage is checked as “Anamorphic” in the Browser; then make sure your sequence is Anamorphic too.

    Thank you Rafael.

Should I have ensured that my settings were 16:9 Anamorphic in the Easy Setup before I started putting clips on the timeline?

Why don’t you don’t just click “YES”, when FC asks you to conform the Sequence to the first clip you drag?
The sequence will match the footage and everything will fit.
