canvas aspect ratio
This is the second time I have had an issue with the canvas aspect when opening a new project in Motion 3. I use the 720p60 preset. Set it as my default. Open new project and the canvas is 4 x 3. I have trashed my preferences numerous times. Verified and repaired the permissions on my hard drive. Last time I had this issue, the trashing of the preferences worked. Not now. When I load a HD template, the canvass is
the right aspect. Any help on this issue would be appreciated. -

Have you got “Correct for Aspect ratio” togg;led on in the view menu.
I dont use 720, but you might like to go back into the presets to make sure all the settings are correct, then set that as the default.Peter

If you’re using the DVCProHD 720 preset, it’s actually 960×720 and will look closer to 4:3.
It sounds like the switch “Correct for Aspect Ratio” isn’t on.

Ah, the curse of the all nighter, been there many times. Just remembering what day it is can be a challenge for me.
