Canvas and viewer have gone green, now black
Still using fcp 7 for a multi year doc project, on 2.6 GHz Mac Pro dual core, OS X 10.7.5 (this is the highest os for this machine). Rock solid, has been functioning like a workhorse. Now when I open fcp7, canvas and viewer were green, and now black. Have trashed prefs a couple times without success. I was thinking codecs may be corrupted, but prores and other clips play fine outside the app in QuickTime 7 and 10.
This likely happened after a software update, but could not say for sure what all the updates were, though it included apple codecs. Any suggestions on how to trace root of problem?
