I’m trying to use a material on a background object….
In the color channel of the material, i’m trying to use Jpegs (purchased from a stock photography site)

The problem is that i cannot view the image as a background…..it’s just a completely scrambled picture.
If i hit the render button, it looks fine….i see my background image. I need to be able to view it, without rendering (i’m doing camera projection)

They open in photoshop just fine…..
I only have problems with these Jpegs.

any ideas why this is happening?

what happens if you convert them to a tiff (or something) and load that instead?

I tried that, but same results.
Actually, i guess i figured it out. The size of the Jpegs are too large for C4D.
When i resize them to sizes under 4000×4000 or somewhere around there, it works.
Does anybody know the cutoff size/ or depth? Or is there anything else i’m missing here….
