July 29, 2011 at 11:37 amBy the way, if using FCP 6, you should be at version 6.0.6 to be in perfect working order.
And prices are SOARING on eBay for FCP 6 / FCP7. I’ve seen new, factory sealed, copies going for around $1,500-$2,000!

July 29, 2011 at 12:00 pmThe license agreement isn’t the same as the retail version either.

July 29, 2011 at 12:07 pmOP is a student so that shouldn’t be a problem. Besides the software is EOL’d so we haven’t been left with many options. Well, you could spend up to 2k for it.

July 29, 2011 at 12:26 pmWell… it’s OK to use to learn with only if you are a current student. But the license says it’s not legal to use it to make any money with… There are also NFR copies, whose license is even more restricted. I don’t think anyone polices it, but Apple could bring suit if they wanted to.
There is a choice and it’s ebay.
