    Hello,
I’m stumped. I’m new to AXP and I have a clip that I’m attempting to put a timewarp 50% speed effect. The Effect Palette turns black when I click on it and I drag the effect onto the clip, it highlights, but a dialogue box appears that says effect does not apply. I tried some of the image effects and they work fine. I do have the Academic version I’m not sure if these are active effects or what. Any help is appreciated. Oh, i’m on a Mac running 10.3.8
    thx
    pierre

You’re not trying to put it on a title or graphic effect, are you?

All effects that are included in the Retail version of XPro are included in the Academic version.

If I were you, the first thing I’d do is uninstall/reinstall the software. See how that works. I’m sure there’s other things to try that I’m not thinking of, but if it were me, that’s what I’d do.

Try holding down the Alt (Oooops MAC) Option key while you drag the effect icon to the clip on the timeline.
