  • Can’t seem to figure out how to apply 2 animation presents to a single text layer.

Hi all, I use AA CC.

On a single text layer, I apply the “Florescent light” animation preset from the lights & optical folder. This lasts the full duration. Later down the timeline, I place my Current Time Indicator where I want my second animation, “Explosion 2” from the miscellaneous folder. After I apply this, it takes away the Florescent light effect. Is there a way to be able to keep both?

    Thanks.

You’ve got the answer in the other forum.

If you’ve not read it and for the benefit of others, the issue arises because the Fluorescent Light effect uses a Wiggly Selector. And this should be placed at the bottom of the text layer’s stack of Animator Properties. Explosion 2 comes with three Animator Groups while Fluorescent Light comes with one. Just set up the stacking as prescribed and you should be fine.

Of course, ensure you place the CTI at its proper place in time prior to applying each preset.

Adobe After Effects. It’s in the Light & Optical folder.

It’s a type issue – spelling should be fluorescent.
