    hi! i’m new with cinema 4d
    i tried to use a metal material but it doesn’t show when i render
    the object looks matte and i added reflection and did everything like in the tutorial i watched
    i don’t know what went wrong ☹
    i the color is on, i checked
    and even when i disabled the hardware open GL it still didn’t work
    the light reflection doesn’t show either
    can someone help me please?

    So the first question is, is there anything to reflect? it looks like you have only a plane in the scene and that’s it and I can see that plane in the reflection. So that’s working. Remember lights don’t actually show up to the camera. They can put a highlight on the object but it has to be a special kind of light to show up in a reflection.
    Try putting some other objects in the scene and see what you get, or better yet,add a sphere that’s much bigger than your objects so it acts like a giant room around everything. Put a texture on the sphere and make sure to put the image for the texture on the sphere in the luminence channel and turn off the color channel so that it shows even if there are no lights.
