cant se the changes as i make them in the comp window
per example i cant see the object rotate as i change the rotation angle in the transform options so i cant really position it well. the change only appears when i realease the rotation “wheel” pls help. im using a macbook pro 17″ and i did not have this problem before.

check your video preview pref in ae… if you have an ouput device other than computer monitor selected, make sure that output during previews also has mirror on computer monitor checked.
if you don’t need any other output device (other than computer monitor), just select that as the output device, and that should work too.

Hit the little switch at the top of the timeline (#1 in the row, if I recall) to enable dynamic previews.
