  Can’t save. Locking up.

  I’m working in Premiere Pro CS 5.5 on a mac pro OS X 10.6.8

  I’ve been working on a project which suddenly has problems saving. The orange save bar in the save dialog box locks up at about 90% and doesn’t move from there.

  I first noticed this when I opened Media Encoder and started cueing up sequences. But even after everything is cued in Media Encoder, and ready to encode, I still can’t save the original Premiere Pro project.

  If I quit and restart Premiere it usually solves the problem, but there were instances when it didn’t. Also a restart of the computer seems to do the trick.

  But this is a scary situation if I plan to move ahead with Premiere, having recently moved over from FCP, I need to be assured that such a fundamental problem will not be occurring regularly.

  Any ideas why this has started happening? Any solutions?
