Hopefully there is a simple fix for this I just can’t figure out. I’ve tried searching the web for my answer as best as possible but haven’t been able to find the solution.

    Mac OSX Yosemite.
    Encore CS5.

I started my project by rendering out an video from premiere pro, and then I built my encore file around that. The issue is that I rendered it out in the wrong aspect ratio, and I was having all sorts of letterboxing issues. I’ve since figured out the proper way to create the assets, however I have all the work done, with menu’s linking, chapters, chapter playlists etc… But no way to insert the correct video.

I’ve tried using the replace asset tool, but i get the error “cannot replace asset because it is not the same type”

My original file was an .mpg and the file I’m trying to use now is an .m2v.

Is there a work around? Am I doing this Imporperly? Will I have to start over and build it again?

Thanks in advance for any help.
