  • Can’t Render a Blu-ray Image file (iso) to burn BD

Had Vegas Pro 8 for a week & following tutorial on Sony website to burn a BD from the timeline. I am using a 90 second test footage from Sony EX1 in HQ mode, (35Mbps, 1920×1080, 24p). Once I have it in the time line I go

    Tools-Burn Disc-Blu ray Disc-Render image & burn.
    Video format: MainConcept MPEG-2(*.mpg;#.m2v:*.m2t;*.mpa)
Video template: Blu-ray 1920×1080-24p, 25 Mbps video stream
    Audio format: Sony Wave64(*.w64)
Audio template: 48,000hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, PCM
    Image parameter-File path: F:\vegas BD Images\Bigguys24p.iso
Burn drive is set to my BD drive.

When I hit OK it shows that it Renders from 0% & goes up to 100%.
Then at 100% I get “An Error Occured Preparing the Image”
When I hit “Details” this is what it says
    Filename: STREAM/00001.m2ts
Status: TSWrapper.dll::CTSWrapper::ProcThreadMain::IO Error — Failed to open file: ‘D:\Vegas Temp Files Folder\~bdmux3396\media\Bigguys24p.w64.ves’ –

I saved my project as Bigguys24p. I did what the VASST #1 Vegas tutorial recommends about moving the temp folder off C: drive & I moved it to Drive D & named it Vegas Temp Files Folder.
I’m sure it’s something I’ve overlooked. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks very much.

Try changing the audio format to AC3 instead.

    Edward,
Thank you for the advice. I used the ac-3 & it worked fine. I have to learn more about the wav64 & why it didn’t work.
