Hi everyone, semi new to the fourms, I have asked for help in the past and I got some great suggestions. So thank you for the help.

So here’s my issue, I followed this guys video down to a T to convert my 7D footage to prores https://vimeo.com/12878971 It works really great, that is until I try to reconnect my files to the originals. I dont get a error message, just Apples little error tone. The only thing I did different from the video was I made separate files for my originals one for each scene. So any ideas? Thank you so much, im applying to film school and I need my movies to look good!

What do you mean, “separate files for each scene”? Did you break up the clips outside of FCP?

I just split up the scenes, instead of having one big original folder, I have a bunch of different ones. Thanks so much for the reply.

Hmm… instead of reconnecting from the pre-made sequence like he does, try using Media Manager on your sequence to create an offline version, then reconnect from there.
