Can’t pull full key in colour-cast source footage
SOS: I shot greenscreen in a studio, but the footage came out with a colour cast. (I did not set up the camera.) I cannot pull a full key. The attached image shows webbing between the girl’s fingers. I’m using Keylight and AE CS6. I’ve tried colour-correcting first, then keying, and keying then colour-correcting, to no avail. I’ve tried rational and non-rational combinations of settings, again to no avail.
Any assistance or guidance gratefully received.

Unfortunately the options you have start both with “r” and are both time and budget consuming.
Re-shoot – will make your work easier
Roto- lot’s more work for you but no extra production hours. If it’s not your fault when it comes to camera setup then the DP should eat up the extra cost for roto.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

Thank you for your reply. I was afraid that was the case…. i’ll try the roto first, as I travelled to Scotland to do the shoot.

This looks a lot like an example scene provided in the years old keylight documentation. You can find the user guide on this page:

The example I’m referring to is on page 56.
They use the alpha bias to weight the screen toward green. There’s more information about this on pages 22 and 23.
No guarantees this will do the trick but it’s something to try.
I’d also fiddle with the screen balance to see if that improves things.
