cant print to tape – bus conflict
Hi all,
been having audio underrun errors for awhile now. lacie500gb and dsr25 deck both using firewire400s in g5.
can’t seem to avoid the bus conflict, which firewire400 ports are on separate busses? have tried different port locations but nothing seems to work.
any advice, i need to print to tape by tomorrow! -

How do you know its a bus conflict? Is that the error you are getting? When does the audio underrun error come in? You say you are on a G5, but you are using FW400 – do you have a faster FW port? My guess is your drives aren’t fast enough to keep up with the data rate required for your resolution.
