So yesterday i wanted to make a video in Sony Vegas, i tried to click the “Play” button but the preview crashed. I tried to reset Sony Vegas but it didn’t work. My GPU is off too. Does anyone know what i should do?

Give us a lot more information. What is the format of the video? Have you successfully used that format before? Have there been any changes to the hardware and software on your computer? Tell us about the computer. What processor, how much memory, how many hard drives, how big are the drives, etc.

The format of the video is MPEG-4, and i have used before. It worked perfectly. There weren’t any changes to my computer,

    Processor: AMD Sempron(tm) 140 processor 2.70 GH.z
    Memory (RAM): 2.00 GB
    System type: 32-bit Operating System

As for the hard drives, here’s a picture: https://imgur.com/eSYDmXB

What does MEDIAINFO say about the video format in the file?

By the way, could it be the line thing (The trimmer, whatever it was called. https://imgur.com/0wFBVIZ) That’s preventing me from playing the video?

The video format is pretty low end, and looks like a YouTube download. I would make sure to use the “Match Media” tool in the project settings. You could also make your project settings Custom, with 640Wx360H, 30 FPS (not 29.97), Progressive field order, Pixel aspect ratio 1.0. Then see if your video plays back better.

Your current project setting is reshaping the video in to a different video format altogether.

The laptop or desktop you have is well below the Vegas recommendation.

The video still doesn’t play, does this mean i can’t use Vegas on this computer anymore?
