    Switching from FCP to Premiere…

Can Intensity output native DSLR footage in Premiere CS5?

I’ve set up a 1080p24 DSLR sequence for BM Intensity and am getting a red bar indicating non-realtime performance.

My system does handle DSLR footage natively using the onboard graphics card ATIx1900xt which came with this MacPro. No red bar – just yellow but it plays smoothly.

    I’m using a MacPro 2007 2,1 Quad-Core Intel Xeon 8 core 3.0 GHz with 8GB ram.

Do I have to upgrade my machine or is this just not possible with Intensity?

BTW- so far I’ve just played around with Premiere and have yet to cut a payed/full project yet. Looking around the web I’ve found that the majority of feedback is that Intensity does NOT play nice with Premiere. What’s your experience (on Mac)? There is no way in hell I would make the switch without rock solid broadcast monitoring.
