    can’t open xvid

    Can’t open an xvid avi in vegas pro 9c on win 7 64. Why not? It’s a rip of an old homemade DVD that I ripped in AOA Dvd ripper.

    I would have hoped that vegas would work with xvid?

    Have you downloaded the xvid codec? That should be all you need to do.

    Are you using the 64-bit version of Vegas Pro? If so, did you install a 64-bit version of the DivX codec (if such a thing exists). 32-bit codecs will not work with 64-bit Vegas Pro. You must use the 32-bit version of Vegas Pro for 32-bit codecs.
