  Can’t open canvas in 4.0, can’t open sequence

  Last night I was working on a sequence and I’m not sure if I hit a button by accident or what, but the canvas and timeline windows closed and I can’t open them back up. I can open them if i open another, smaller sequence. When I try to open the one I want to, though, it thinks for a second, then says “general error” and then after I click “OK” it gives another message saying out of memory.

  The project was created in FC Express and then I recently upgraded to FCP 4.0 and successfully opened the project in 4.0. Am running on an eMac with OS 10.1.3 (I think) and 512 MB RAM (I think). I’ve got my media on a 400 GB LaCie FW drive.

  I say “(I think)” because am not in front of that computer just now.

  Can’t find the specs for FCP 4.0 but am worried I need more RAM, or worse, more hard drive space. Any ideas? Thx!
