Can’t Make Poster Frame Stay
Trying Premiere out for the first time, and I am having an issue with poster frames and I am wondering if I’m missing something…
It seems you cannot scroll along the shot in the source monitor and select a poster frame. You must do it on the little clip thumbnail itself. I can live with that. However, it seems to somteimes keep the poster frame after I set it (“set poster frame”) and sometimes it does not, and just bounces back to the default, first frame thumbnail.
Any thoughts? Anyone figured this out?

In CS6, to set a poster frame for the icon, drag the playhead or shuttle to the desired frame, and then press the Shift+P (Windows) or Command+P (Mac OS) keys. To clear the poster frame, press the Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows) or Option+P (Mac OS) keys.

It does not work well. It does create the poster frame, but if I then click an in-point anywhere else on the clip, it changes the poster frame on the icon in the bin. I need to be able to select a poster frame for each clip and have it stay all the time and not change whenever I make in-points.
