Can’t locate extra plugins on AE Installation Disc??
Hi there
Trying to follow a tutorial in AE but I need the cc particle world plugin… Ive read everywhere its an extra installer on the AE disc but I jus can’t see it? Im using a mac and I think Im just not used to the finder… is it really obvious and am I just being stupid?? What is the folder name I should be looking for with the extra installers on it?

for earlier versions of ae (ae7 and earlier) the extra plugins were on the install disc in a folder called ‘extras’, and were only available on the pro version of ae (not the standard, educational or trial versions). later versions (cs3, and i assume cs4) installed them by default with the normal installer (note: there is no ‘standard’ version anymore and i’m not positive if the extra effects came with the educational or trial versions, but i think they do with the educational version).
if you have cs3 or later, and had modified the install to not include third-party files, then you should be able to use the installer to install only the third-party files in the custom install settings.
