Can’t lay off to tape
I am having a problem with laying a show off to tape. I was able to capture from the deck, but I cannot lay back to tape. All cables seem to be connected. The video is just black with squiggly lines. Has anyone seen this before? I feel like this has happened before, and my editor fixed it, but he is out of the country so I need help. Even when I go to view, video playback, digital preview desktop I see nothing. There must be a setting I am unaware of.

Tape format? Captured as? Connected how? Capture card…firewire? HDV, DV, HDCAM, DVCPRO HD?

I figured it out. I meant to put in that I was using black magic card and it was beta, sorry for lack of details, but I knew that it was a Final Cut thing and had nothing to do with the capture card beta because this had happened a couple years ago. The All Frames was turned off for some reason and that was the issue. But thanks anyway.
