Can’t keyframe anything
Hey guys, today I went to launch C4D to work on an animation and I can’t keyframe anything none of the transform parameters or anything for that matter, so thought the file the modeler gave me was corrupt so modified the model a bit exported it as a new model re-imported into a new file a setup the whole scene again, nothing. So I rebooted my Mac, started a new file just dropped a cube, and still cannot.
There seems to be orange/yellow colored text, and can’t animate using the keyframe button nor the f-curve.
I’m a LW user total noob in C4D and I’ve searched the web for the last2 hrs and can’t find anything about it, except that if they’re orange means that everything is selected, but I’m not sure I have ‘everything’ selected or not sure what that even means I guess.
Did I press some sort of shortcut accidentally to activate this mode?

EDIT: C4D Lite seems ok, and working predictably … no orange anything and keyframing as expected.

looks like an older version of C4D (which version?) the keyframe dots have another ring around them now. On older versions you have to do a Ctrl-Click to keyframe on those dots – you should still be able to keyframe via the Record Active Objects button or the Timeline though…
the orange text you have circled just means that all three of the Size parameters are selected and if you use the Keyframe dots to the left of the values (Size.X etc) it will keyframe all three with one click (or ctrl-click if older)

Cc4D 14. Ahhhh that may explains why, usually I’ve been using C4D Lite with AE, but recently IT installed C4D and I did noticed it was r14 but didn’t know this sort of workflow was different from different versions of C4D.
So basically to keyframe a parameter I need to Control click the radio button? ok I’ll try that tomorrow … this was driving me bananas I wasted about 3 hrs of my AM trying to figure crap out.
