Can’t import Premiere Pro project!
Upon trying to import my Premiere Pro project into AE, I get the following error:
After Effects: AEGP Plugin Premiere Pro Import: Unknown error. (5027 :: 12)
I’m using PPro 3.1.1 and AE 8.0.2 on Mac OS X 10.5.2. It’s a 23.976 project. I’ve tried copy-pasting the timeline, tried reinstalling AE and PPro from the discs, and even tried using a PC version of AE to open the .prproj, and get the same error every time. I’m completely dead in the water. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks,

First an obvious question: Can you open the project in premiere?
If not, it’s corrupt. But I doubt that’s your issue.
Check to see that AE can import all of the footage. One of those could be the problem. So do a File > import for each piece of footage in AE.

Thanks for the suggestion. As it turns out, After Effects was choking on any and all clips in Premiere Pro that were speed-adjusted.
Have I discovered a bug? Both clips were slightly sped up using the rate-stretch timeline tool. Anyway, for future reference, anyone having this problem–try setting the clips back to 100% and then re-applying the speed adjustment in AE.

I’d report this to adobe. Send them the file too.
