If your on CS4 your AE version should be 9.something
in AE go to the menu item “After effects>about after effects.” to see your version number.how do you find out if there are rgb colour space
Open the image in Photoshop. Go to Image>Mode make sure this is set to RGB. What type of images are you working with?
i don’t know what you mean by operating system
Your Windows or Mac operating system. For example Snow leopard on a Mac or Windows 7 on a PC.you have at least one output module template that refers to a missing output plugin. please check your Output module templates
i don’t know if this has anything to do with it but it’s been driving me crazy pease helpI have received this error before after removing a piece of hardware that uses a codec dependent upon the hardware being installed. Such as a blackmagic video card. Have you had any recent system changes like that?

December 4, 2010 at 4:56 pmOpen the files in Photoshop and do a “save as”.. select jpg at full quality, and try importing again.. This is what I do when AE doesn’t like a file.

December 6, 2010 at 7:03 pmYour not running the most recent version of AE CS4 for windows. You should be on 9.0.2.
Run the adobe updater or download it herehttps://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=13&platform=Windows
