    Can’t import .m2v

    I have an old .m2v video from a while ago when I was using CS5.

    I’ve upgraded to CS6 and now cannot import .m2v files into After Effects, or Premiere Pro.

    Any suggestions? I tried renaming to .mpeg which allows me to select the video to import but then it gives a decompression error.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Try .mpg instead of .mpeg. If that doesn’t work then you might need to convert to a different format.
