Can’t import logo or pics
I’ve been trying to bring in a “logo” (white text on black background) into the “add shape” window and repeatedly get a “format not supported” error message. I’ve tried to import the logo as a png, tif, and jpg to no avail. The images are all sized as multiples of 16 and nothing imports even after rebooting. They won’t import as a layer either. Pictures files won’t import. Interestingly, I had no problem importing as a layer a proxy avi (1:15 sec rendered from HD m2t) from Vegas 6c.

Which version of particleIllusion, which platform, and which specific version number (found in the “about” box).

You’re probably using the same bad crack that everybody else who reports this problem is using. Buy a legal copy and this problem will go away.
If you do have a legal copy, contact wondertouch support via email.
