Cant import illustrator into after effects? – please help me!!!
Hello there
i am having a massive problem importing illustrator files into after effects. I am using Illu 10 and AE6.5 on a dual power mac G5 2.3.
When ever i try and import it, it just keeps on saying After effects Error : invalid. Why is this. I always use illu to create text and for some reason it just wont do it now.
Any help would be very greatfully received.

In Illustrator’s preferences, under the File Handling & Clipboard category, you must ensure that AICB is selected. Hope that helps!

You might also try saving your Illustrator files in an earlier file format, say AI 6 or 7. Sometimes AE doesn’t like the most up-to-date Illustrator files.
