please does anyone know how to load fonts into protype titler? i have been loading true type fonts into vegas 8 using “the font thing” font manager and this works fine for vegas’s regular text media generator but the same fonts dont show up in titler. thanks very much.

I could be wrong, but I think Vegas will use whatever font is available in the system. Meaning, add new fonts to your windows font folder, and then restart Vegas. The new font should now appear in the list.

p.s. To add new fonts to windows, 1-Start 2-Run 3-Type Fonts
a font folder will appear. Just copy and paste your new fonts in that folder. Restart application.

dakkar is correct about Vegas using (almost) all fonts you have installed.
My install procedure is a bit different though.
I go to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts, then File – Install New Font, point it to wherever the new font is and Windows does the rest.

thankyou so much dakkar, you are spot on. for some reason “loading” fonts with my font manager doesnt get the fonts into protype titler but does get them into the text media generator. when i install them into the windows font folder, titler picks them up with no problem! thanks again
