    can’t import CS5 psd files into FCP

    hi

    having a major issue. I created text inside After Effects CS5
    and exported as a psd
    then tried to open in FCP 6.6
    and I get this error message

    FILE ERROR: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown

    what’s happening?
    oh the files all have transparent backgrounds.. is that a problem (the alpha channel?)
    I’ve searched the forum, but can’t tell if this issue hsa been covered.

    Just save it as a .png

    If the files have been created in a PC, open them in a Mac and save it again.

    If you go to the Image menu and the Mode submenu, make sure the images are RGB and 8 bit. FCP won’t play nice with images that are 16 or 32 bit.
