    Hi All

I’ve suddenly developed an issue importing effects from Bridge into AFX, which has always worked fine in the past. Regardless of the method – double-clicking on the effect with a layer highlighted in AFX, or copy and paste – I get an error saying AFX cannot import the effect (such as Characters Slow Fade Up.ffx) as its an unsupported file type or extension.

I’ve tried restarting, new projects etc. The only thing that’s different since last using AFX is I’ve loaded MS Office 2008 recently which I can’t imagine is the problem.

    Any ideas greatly appreciated.

    CS3 8.0.2.27, OSX 10.5.4

Seems that if I use the ‘Place in After Effects’ command it works! However, both double-clicking on the effect or copy and paste no longer work. Strange!
