  cant import avi to PI

  probably this is an old subject , but i have a samsung camera and last time i tried to import videos , error message , the info for the videos the camara takes is :

  Format : AVI
  Format/Info : Audio Video Interleave
  Format/Family : RIFF

  Bit rate : 2602 Kbps

  Codec : M-JPEG

  Width : 320 pixels
  Height : 240 pixels
  Display Aspect ratio : 4/3
  Frame rate : 30.000 fps
  Resolution : 24 bits
  Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 1.068

  i guess it has to be with the codec type , any suggestion to change it to a codec format so i it will be able to be editable ?? thnks
