  • Can’t hear audio whilst digitising

This is a pretty basic question but when I’m digitising thru firewire I can’t hear the audio out from the Speaker jack on the back of my G4 (to speakers). I see the vision but not the audio. Playing the digitised file lets me hear the audio. I have selected Audio out and not dv for playback.

Go into your Capture Settings and turn the Speaker On. It’s off by default.

Hook up your speakers to the DV Deck or DV Camcorder not the Mac. Set up a video monitor out of the deck while you’re at it.

Thanks Walter that solved it. It’s very hidden I must say.
