I need to put an image with a transparent background over some footage. I’ve downloaded the image with a transparent background as a gif, and tried putting it in there. I get a pink background…. I’ve opened the image up in other PHOTO editors, and it definitely has a transparent background. Why not in FCP? I’ve tried rendering it as well, but to no avail.

“For now, then, and forever; brilliant, albeit disturbed.”

    Gif are supported in FC.
Try changing the kind of Alpha (Black, White, Strait) in the Browser.
You have to change it before you drop the logo in the sequence.
Once in the sequence the makes not effects.
    Cheers,
    Rafael
