July 3, 2006 at 1:34 amWhat computer are you using? The display size has to be 1280. Watch out for the Dock cutting off some of the useable area.
All the best,
Tom

July 3, 2006 at 2:22 amscreen size was the key. i changed the screen size to 1280 x 1024 and still did not have the option. i then trashed the prefs again and restarted the computer. i now have the multiple edits option. at 1280×1024 i can also keep the dock open. it is too bad apple does not list all the qwerks that need to be done to access menus in the user manual. i am glad groups like this exist. thx for the help tom.

July 3, 2006 at 11:45 amreverse engineer what apple has done to make the multiple edits layout and you should be able to construct your own to best suit your needs. All the multiple edits layout is; is just using the frame viewers.
Very handy. Once you get into making your own layouts for such tasks as compositing, grading, track laying, viewing etc. you’ll wonder how you ever got by without them.
What’s best if your a freelancer like me. Get yourself a dot mac account and keep all of your track, window, keyboard layouts as well as timeline and bin views there. That way you’ll always feel at home no matter where you are. 😉
