Cant get the proper configuration.
Hello,
So I getting a bit confused and don’t know what I should do, I shot this footage recently,
I want to show more, like to the waist, without compromising large areas over the head, I tried the following.
1- Zooming out, shows waist but gives large area overhead, my subject looks short.
2- Lowering the Tripod ( the camera ) and zooming out a bit, it shows waist with small overhead area, but then my subject looks downward at the lenses, and its very clear in the footage.Any suggestions? I am aiming to get this same configuration. ( from schishow )

Hi Mohammed,
Have you tried a longer shot? Not sure how much space you have to move back.
That will also allow you to throw the background out of focus and that’s never a bad thing in chroma key.

I have some space to move back, but shouldn’t moving back give similar results to zooming out?

Looks like the second shot is taken from a slightly higher angle. Try raising the height of your camera to the eye level of your subject or even higher. It will be more interesting if the subject’s eye look is slightly up than down.

I would either zoom out or move the camera back to get the desired framing on the subject. Any edges of the green screen can easily be masked off (garbage matte).

Zooming out will give me large areas over the head, my subject will look short. even if I garbage matte the extra overhead area, my subject will still look short and out of frame.

If you want to see her waist, zoom out a bit and tilt down until you’re satisfied with the framing.
