    Hi there. I am having great difficulty figuring this one out, though I know there must be a really simple solution!

    Whenever I render, I cannot get the audio to play!

    Please help me figure out how to change my settings accordingly. Thank you.

    .h264 is not an editing codec.

    All of the new small video cams, including the Zi8 and Flip Cams, record highly compressed codecs that are known as delivery codecs, not editing codecs.

    Yours records in .h264 format, and those files need to be transcoded to another format for editing in FCP. Most people download MPEG Streamclip for free to do that job. Choose Export to Quicktime, and if you have FCP 6 or 7 make sure to set it to ProRes in the options drop down menu.
