April 20, 2005 at 5:02 amNot familiar with the DSR 45, but if it supports timecode generation, then pre-stripe the beginning of your tape with the timecode you want it to begin at, then perform an assemble edit with FCP at the desired timecode that matches your timeline.
read the chapter beginning at page 424 in the online help for specifics.

April 20, 2005 at 6:30 amYes…and here is the workflow:
https://discussions.info.apple.com/webx?14@310.IFDLa2ZTYqO.0@.689a002d
Didn’t know if it would work with the DSR-45, but it does nicely with my DSR-11.

April 20, 2005 at 2:06 pmThis has been posted before but here it is again.
On DSR-45 menu go to TC MAKE and select PRESET and exec. THEN on menu go up to TC PRESET, go over to PREST and then set your timecode entry and SET and exec. Stripe some timecode to head of your tape and stop. Then on DSR-45 menu go to TC MAKE and select REGEN. In FCP select an in point, then select EDIT TO TAPE (make sure you again set same in point) and ASSEMBLE edit to tape.

April 25, 2005 at 10:33 amI can’t get simplevideoout to run! There does not sem to be an .app file in the bunch of files that I downloaded from apple. Can you tell me which file should work? Three of the files try and run graphic convertor, so maybe I have some resource fork issues??
Thanks,
Ken.
