I’ve got a two-hour doc that has to be sent to the composer via QT, with all music panned to the right and everything else to the left.

Certain clips appear in the timeline as stereo clips, but I need to pan both channels to the left. When I make them mono (by using Option-L), Final Cut still won’t let me pan both channels to the same side. I can tell they are no longer stereo because because I can adjust the volume separately, but when I try to change the panning, the moment I navigate it either pops back to where it was or the companion channel changes sides.

Any insight out there? I spent a half hour searching and couldn’t find an instance of this in the forum.

    Hi Budrick,
First thank you because I had not idea of this option in FC. I’ve just made what you say in my 5.1.2 and works fine. I separate the two tracks and pan them in the time-line as I want. I save and close and re-open the projet and the tracks kept as I’d set them. May be a bug of the 5.1.4?
