I just built a new computer and reinstalled Sony Vegas pro 11. A major problem is that I can’t render to MPEG2 any more. Keep getting a message “An error occurred while creating the media file…” I suspect this has something to do with my GTX670 card. I got around this when rendering to Mainconcept AVC and selecting render using CPU only. But I can’t find a similar setting for MPEG2. Can somebody tell me how to turn off GPU for MPEG2?

    Thanks!

There isn’t because the GPU isn’t used for MPEG encoding.
You should also turn off GPU support in Options/Preferences/Video Tab.

Also make sure that you have sufficient room on your TMP folder.

Last, try using a new name for the file in case Windows has locked the original name up.
