Can’t export AAF?
Panic mode.
I’ve cut 2 short videos in premiere and need to have exported AAFs for mixing yesterday. Each time I try, on both sequences, the export hangs around two thirds through.
The sequences are made up of multicam clips, each one with 10 associated audio tracks (various booms and radio mics). Add to that 4 tracks for sync sound on cutaways, dummy VO track and music, that’s a lot of tracks. Could this be the problem?
I’m running CC2014 on a brand new, top spec iMac.
Can Someone please help?!

are you working from you multi cam master?
you may need to duplicate that in the project panel…(rename it appended with flat)
and then use the duped version and “flatten” the multi cam ….
this will lift everything from the nest sequences to the reference the original source material…
(hence why you want to be working in s duplicate when you do this)
I’m gonna guess that PPro isn’t gonna be able to export the AAF with the nested multi-cam clips as it probably won’t trace down to the source media…

Update:
Thanks Alex. I tried flattening the sequences but had no joy.
What did it in the end was exporting in 2 goes. I duplicated the sequence twice. One the first one I deleted everything below track 8, and on the second I deleted everything above track 8. Both exports worked, and the sound guys where able to line them up in pro tools.
Still not exactly sure what caused the problem but anyone experiencing the same problem should give this a try.
