    Please help.

I’m finished a short film and working on the credits.

I have no idea what I did, but now i cannot edit generated media.

Even if I open up a new project and start from scratch, if I drop some text generated media in the timeline, when I try to edit it so it doesnt’ say “sample text” nothing happens. A window is supposed to pop up so I can edit the text, just like the video fx window pops up so you can choose which fx to use.

But nothign pops up at all. If I open a finshed project, start a new project, no matter what, i cannot edit the text of generated media.

    Any ideas?

Under “view” make sure you have media generators checked.

Make sure you’re running the latest version of Vegas, especially if it’s Pro 9 as earlier versions had several text-related bugs that were cured in subsequent updates.
The current version is Pro 9.0c.

My guess would be that the dialog box has been moved off the screen. Many times it can be found hiding under the start bar. You might try looking there.
