Since upgrading to Vegas Pro 9 … I can no longer drop a clip on the timeline. Before, I used to be able to drop a audio or video file onto the timeline from any random windows folder.

Currently the only way i can add a file to the timeline is with the exporer tab. Maybe its a setting? Or i am just crazy.

i would reset vegas, i know there is a key combination you can press so that when you start vegas it resets to its default. I had some oddities like this in earlier versions BUT since switching to win 7 and with latest updates no probs whatsoever.

    regards in advance

oh well the joys of pc ownership! probably nothing to do with vegas itself, my problems went with vista, once that was consigned to the wastebin all was good in fact in those days like you I had to reinstall various times the worst was when the timeline disappeared altogether!

    have fun sorry couldnt help.

    regards in advance
