When I try dragging my tracks (tried text tracks & image tracks) to a container (either text containers or 3d containers) I get the “0 with a / (slash)” icon and Boris will not let me do this. I’ve tried doing 1 track at a time and that doesn’t work, either. I’ve tried highlighting the tracks and right clicking “convert to container” but it separates my text into 1 letter on each track. I’ve tried with the stand alone engine and through Avid but it still won’t let me. Should I delete my settings file(s?)

…actually – I am unable to drag anytracks anywhere (even outside a container)

    Hi Kay,

Sounds like the result of a preference file that needs to be deleted. If you are on a Mac, remove this file:

    MacintoshHD/Users/(LoginName)/Library/System Support/Boris RED 4.3™Preferences

If you are on Windows, remove this file:

    c:\Windows\BorisRED4.3.ini

Then just relaunch the RED Engine or the plug-in and a new default preference file will be generated by the application.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

    Axel,

    Did trashing the prefs help?

    Sorry I didn’t get back right away…
Actually – re-booting helped. Thank you!

    No worries.

I just wanted to make sure you were all set.
