  • Can’t display an 11GB video file

I’ve got an 11GB video file (m2t, captured from a CF card). Vegas imports it but when in the timeline it only shows the last 2 seconds of the clip when it should be 26 minutes long. It plays fine in VLC etc just in Vegas. Any ideas?

I don’t have a single mts file that large (4GB max), but I will try to create one to test with right now. What version of Vegas are you using? I can test with Vegas Pro 8, 8.1, 10 (32/64bit, and 11 (3s/64bit).

My camera automatically splits the video into multiple 4GB files on the SDXC card, so I can’t really test this.

Although my camera (Panasonic HDC-TM900) saves to 4GB files, I found out that I could use Device Explorer in Vegas Pro 11 to import the 22.5GB MTS file (1080/60p 28Mbps VBR)

I had no problem dragging it to the timeline and viewing, although it did take a few minutes to build all the audio peaks of the 2 hr clip.

I’m running Vegas Pro 11 build 425 64 bit on Windows 7 Professional
