  • Can’t Disk Image to DVD with Toast 14

Posted by Phil Snyder on January 13, 2016 at 1:36 am

Just installed Toast 14. I tried to burn a disk image to a DVD. It began to “Write Lead In”, then stalled. I got a message stating “This may take a long time. Please make sure your Mac does not go to sleep.” I got the same message when using Toast 9 recently. This is why I purchased Toast 14.
What is causing this? It does not happen with the Mac’s Disk Utility.

I’m running Yosemite on mid-2011 iMac.

    Phil,
this message will be shown while your DVD will be burned and you should see the progress-bar getting longer, while this window also will show the burning-speed on the media as well.

toast14 is working fine on YZ, so it should work, by the way: check out for latest update.

It works now when I burn to the internal Super Drive but not to the external Pioneer burner.

Can anyone please tell me what the advantage might be in upgrading Titanium Toast Pro 11 to 14?

I never had Toast 11 but Toast 14 can do Blu-ray authoring.

I can burn a Blu-Ray on my Toast 11, I drag in my ProRes HD .mov file and Toast encodes and burns to a connected external BD player/burner. I don’t need to ‘author’, I keep reading that word, who’s author?
