Can’t detect microphone
Hello everyone, I have a Røde Video Micro (which, I know, is not the best mic for voice overs but hey, that’s what I have), with a TRRS cable in order to be able to record voices with my iMac (this means that I have to use the output port even if I’m going to record). However, I really can’t find out why Adobe Audition keeps ignoring the mic, while with with Quick Time I can record audios without any problem. Can anyone help? Thank you very much

Essentially, the answer at the bottom of the thread is that you have to arm the Record button, a square button with an R in the middle. This should bring your mic live. Good luck!
