Hi everyone, I’ve never been here before and I’ve searched the forum and can’t find my problem as having already been discussed, here is my problem:

I’ve been doing a stop motion animation for a commercial and I’m using Stop Motion Pro and importing the avi’s into avid xpress pro. I just recently finished the animation and had to export the movie w/ animation/soundfx for the guy who is going to create the music – well I didn’t realize that avid was just minimized and not closed when I took out the dongle to put in the flash drive for transfer – and when I returned I tried to close Avid and it gave me an auto exception error along with a bunch of system errors, avid had to shut down

i rebooted – I’m getting the auto exception when trying to open that bin – all other bins work fine – the message is unable to open bin (ok or more?) click ‘more’ – cannot delete mob because it is still being referenced

I’m on a deadline and really freaking out. please help – let me know if you need more information to help me

open your omfi folder and delete your 2 database files. They are the ones with the different icon… the old avid icon.
when you relaunch and grab a new clip, avid will rebuild these database files and you otta be ok.

You may need a trip to the attic to get this bin back in place for use. MOB is a media Object. If a clip in the bin was damaged, it can damage the structure of the bin to the point where it’s just toast. The attic will contain copies of your bins recently in use. Pull the latest one out to your desktop, and then open it via the open bin dialog box AFTER you’ve re-opened the project.
